I love this picture, because Anna is really laughing. It sort of did aperture, as you can see in the background, and the lighting is pretty good. There’s at least enough light to see what’s happening.
This was an attempt of a silhouette. I put the setting on M, for manual. I knew that would make the picture darker, but it only halfway silhouetted. For an idea of how to make a silhouette, look in the 4-H Guide to Digital Photography, Page 156. It’s a great book by Daniel Johnson.
My 5 year old sister Anna is getting interested in photography, as well.(My guess is that she just wants to be like me.) She does take unusual pictures, like this red box, but she takes great ones, too. I took this one laying on the ground.
I took this picture with the setting Av, which is the setting for aperture. (Aperture is the thing that blurs your photo’s in the background.) I zoomed up on her face, and put her off to the side, so I could use aperture in the background.
